Age Suitability

Apple’s age rating system increases the rating when apps include certain capabilities or content. We don’t include any of those things, so our apps are rated 4+ and appropriate for everyone.

What Increases Age Ratings

Per Apple, including these features raises the age rating above 4+:

• Capabilities: Unrestricted web access, user-generated content, messaging/chat, advertising
• Mature Themes: Profanity, horror, alcohol/tobacco/drug references
• Medical or Wellness: Treatment information, health topics
• Sexuality or Nudity: Suggestive themes, sexual content
• Violence: Cartoon violence, realistic violence, weapons
• Chance-Based Activities: Gambling, simulated gambling, contests, loot boxes

We don’t include any of these. If an app requires one of these capabilities, we document it clearly and rate accordingly.

Transparency Matters

Emerging regulations in the European Union and similar jurisdictions are pushing for clearer age ratings and honest disclosure about what’s in your apps. We’re here for it. This is part of a larger chorus of voices demanding transparency and consumer protection in software.
